Pedro de Freitas is from Brazil and an ordinand at Cranmer Hall, passionate about connecting people and bridging cultures. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Durham University, focusing on intercultural engagement in the Book of Acts and its implications for the contemporary church. Pedro is married to Jeni, and together they are raising their two children, Maria and Sammy. Outside of his academic and ministry pursuits, he enjoys playing video games
Edith Iheama was born and raised in Onitsha, Anambra state in Nigeria. She trained at St. Mellitus College East Midlands in Nottingham. Edith is serving her title post with the in the Benefice of St Anne in Worksop.
Kaarina Leong is a British-born Finnish-Chinese curate serving at Christ Church, Lancaster. She trained for ordination at Emmanuel Theological College. Her theological passions include exploring the role of music and inclusive liturgy in worship, theological responses to trauma and the pursuit of racial justice. Kaarina is a musician, mum to three amazing people and has a love of libraries.
Jacqueline Gray is an ordinand at St Augustine’s College with a lively love for sport—especially tennis. A dedicated armchair pundit, she has even camped overnight to secure Wimbledon tickets and proudly supports Arsenal. Even more central to her life, however, is her ministry. She has served as a voluntary chaplain in hospitals and in a social enterprise supporting women navigating multiple layers of vulnerability. She is deeply committed to racial justice and to ensuring equity for all.
Hazel Koungoue finds genuine joy in supporting the well-being and flourishing of others, drawing inspiration from Ubuntu—the African wisdom that “I am because we are.” Hazel also treasures a good sense of humour and the light it brings to life, relationships, and community.
